Discovery Den
Come visit the all new Discovery Den at the West Family Y!
The YMCA of Broome County has provided significant investment to transform the former Multi-Purpose Room into a reimagined family space able to be used by families and various other groups that gather at the Y. The family space has ample area and supplies for various arts and craft activities and classes as well as community tables that can be used for games or puzzles. The Maj Jong club and Summer Camps already utilize the new space. There are sectional sofas for family reading time and both a chalk and Lego wall for creativity. Perhaps the showcase space in the Discovery Den is the 20 foot traverse/climbing wall that fills the former child watch area. In addition to the wall, this space features oversized foam building blocks and a padded floor for soft play.
All play must be supervised by an adult. Waivers to use the Traverse Wall are available at the front desk.
