We are excited to announce the return of the YMCA Corporate Challenge, presented by Harding Brooks Insurance! Foster camaraderie and strengthen team dynamics within your organization by participating in this exciting event. Each year, dozens of local businesses and their employees gather at SUNY Broome to compete in a variety of challenges. Points will be awarded to the top 15 finishers in each of the three company divisions, with trophies presented to the top three finishers in both Corporate and Individual categories.

Do you have a spirited team? Show your enthusiasm by bringing creative decorations, designing custom team shirts, and cheering on your colleagues throughout the competition to take home the coveted "Team Spirit" award, presented by GHS Federal Credit Union. Join us for a fun and engaging way to promote teamwork while supporting a great cause!

EVENT DETAILS

> Date: Thursday, June 12, 2025
 
> Location: SUNY Broome, 907 Front Street, Binghamton, NY. 13905
 
> Time: The first race starts at 5:15 p.m.
 
 

CHOOSE YOUR RACE

> 5K Road Race: A 3.1-mile race around campus. *No walkers due to scheduling
 
> Predicted Mile: Participants pre-register the time they predict it will take to cover 1-mile. Participants can walk or run. Winners are chosen based on their closest predicted time. 
 
> Relay Race: Three team members each cover the 1-mile course. One team member must be female and one team member must be over the age of 40; This can be the same person. 
 
> Executive Mile: A 1-mile road race open to senior staff members. (Only two participants per company will score.)

**The Team Captain Packet is to assist Captains with the registration process. All registrations must occur through RunSignUp which can be accessed by the "Register Now" buttons.

 

REGISTRATION

> Register by May 29th to make sure you receive your event t-shirt on time.
 
> Registration closes on June 9, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
 
> Current full-time and part-time employees, along with their immediate family members are eligible to participate.
 
 

COST

> Cost is per individual and event
 
> Before May 29, 2025: $25 for the first event, $15 for each additional event
 
> On and after May 30th prices increase by $5
 
 

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE

> 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Check-in
 
> 5:15 - 6:00 p.m. 5K Road Race
 
> 6:00 - 6:45 p.m. Predicted Mile
 
> 6:45 - 7:30 p.m. Relay Race
 
> 7:30 - 8:15 p.m. Executive Mile
 
> 8:15 p.m. Awards Ceremony
 
* Please note, these are just estimated times and individual medals will be presented at the completion of each event.
  We ask that participants be on site at least 45 minutes early for later races.
