Anyone can drown. No one should. July 25 is World Drowning Prevention Day, set forth by The United Nations (UN) and World Health Organization (WHO). The YMCA of Broome County is joining in on raising drowning prevention awareness as a public health issue.

It's the last day of the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program for group 77 at the West Family Y. The group of five huddled around the filing cabinet in the Wellness Center, searching for their personalized workout plans. Ellen Jenner found her chart and quickly got to work. "I got tired of saying, 'Well, I'm doing something. That's good enough,'" Jenner said. She soon realized she was capable of much more.
