Volunteers at the YMCA are the driving force behind the success of what the YMCA does for our community. Because of the dedication of our volunteers, the YMCA is able to reach more people, change more lives and build a better community for all.
Coaches are the heart of our Youth Sports program! As a volunteer at the YMCA, you help to change lives. Your involvement in the Youth Sports Program provides positive growth and development for young people. This 8 week commitment will change your life. Must be at least 16 years old to coach.
Assistants may assist either in swim lesson instruction or in water fitness classes. Applicants should enjoy working around or in water and with people and will be asked to assist the instructor in demonstrations, helping with equipment and greeting participants.
The YMCA is looking for advocates that are willing to spread the positive impact the YMCA has on our community members. Story tellers are an important piece of getting our message into the community and helping community members to understand that the YMCA is a charity. Volunteer commitment would be 5-10 hours a week for 4-6 weeks. If you are passionate about the YMCA and its programs help by becoming a Strong Kids Campaign Story Teller and make a difference in your community.
Volunteers are needed for special happens that happen year round. Events include, Corporate Challenge, Golf Tournament, Trunk or Treat and more.
Assistants will be placed with a swim instructor to assist them teaching swim lessons to younger children. This may involve assisting in getting and putting away equipment, showing swim strokes and more!
We are always interested in talking with active and engaged members of our community to support our cause and provide inspiration and ideas for the future of the Y. Become a part of our movement and help strengthen and improve our community through this rewarding volunteer position.
