It’s summer the way your kids want it ! ‘Create A Camp’ is back! Make a choice between active, art and outdoor activities and design your summer of fun!
We are excited to embark on another summer of fun and learning with you and your children. From sports and swimming to arts and culture, the YMCA camp spans a broad range of interests, while focusing on developing young minds and bodies.

Summer camp is offered at both YMCA locations. Pick between the Binghamton or West Family YMCA.  Please note that the outdoor choice is only available a the West Family Y, as we will be going to William Hill Park.

Camp Themes

Week 1: June 26- June 30          Aloha Summer
Say “Aloha” to the school year as we embrace summer with Sand Art, Beach Ball Kickball, Limbo contests, Slip N Slides and lawn games.

Week 2: July 3-July 7               Oopy, Goopy
Join the excitement as we plan to get messy with whipped cream pie fun, egg tosses, bobbing for apples, science experiments, hands on creations, crafts and much more!

Week 3: July 10-July 14         Jurassic World
Join us as we enjoy an historic adventure through the Ice Age as we learn of large lizards and feathered friends, go on dinosaur egg hunt and more!

Week 4: July 17-July 21         Treasure Island
Argh YMCA mateys! Come walk the plank onto me pirate ship! Have some  swashbuckling pirate fun with a canon ball toss, pirate island obstacle course, searching for buried treasure and more.

Week 5: July 24-July 28         Kids in the Kitchen
Show off your cooking skills when you join this week filled with healthy recipes, relays and healthy living and a bit of measuring skills. Who will become the cooking champion of camp?

Week 6: July 31-Aug 4       Summer Fiesta
Join in our celebration by hitting the piñata, playing fiesta inspired games, dancing to the Macarena, and showing your creativity with recycled materials in the Thingamajig competition.

Week 7: Aug 7-Aug 11             Ocean Adventure
Have you ever wondered what its like for an animal to live in the ocean? Dive into some wet fun this camp session as we enjoy ocean treats, crab walk races, octopus tag, jellyfish jumps and more!

Week 8: Aug 14-Aug 18                   Bugs, Bugs, BUGS GALORE
Ants on a log, dead ant tag, butterfly pasta crafts, and dirt cups for dessert. Don’t wake the bumblebees or mess with a gardener’s vegetables as we explore nature around us.

Week 9: Aug 21-25                     Colorful Campers
Colors are all around us and make our world beautiful! Come join us for a fun filled week full of colorful creations, snacks, tie dye, color tag, and exploring the beauty of the outdoors.

Week 10: Aug 28-Sept 1            Bon Voyage Summer
All summers must come to an end. Help us send off summer with a BANG during this exciting week of crafts, outdoor games and team building activities that help campers say goodbye to their new friends.

A non-refundable weekly deposit of $30.00 is due at time of registration for all of the sessions you want to attend. Payment is due no later than 9:00am on the Wednesday prior to the camp week.

At the Y, we believe everyone should be given the opportunity to experience camp! We know how hard it can be to provide that experience and a little help would go a long way. If you need us, we are here. Ask about our financial assistance program.
