As a charitable organization with roots in Broome County since 1865, the YMCA of Broome County is open to all. We will not turn anyone away for an inability to pay. Annual Campaign contributions enable us to uphold that promise. If you are unable to meet the Y membership cost, please consider applying for financial assistance.
There are no contracts to sign. If at any point you decide your YMCA membership just isn’t working out, you may cancel at any time. 30-day money back guarantee, if you cancel within 30 days, we will refund your membership.
Not ready to commit to a monthly membership? You can still use the Y with a Day Pass. A valid photo ID is required at the time of purchase.
Local guests that are interested in joining the Y will enjoy their first visit free. Additional use of the YMCA will require a membership or the purchase of a guest pass. All guests must sign a waiver form and provide a picture ID. Guests under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult member who is 18 years of age or
older unless prior arrangements are made with the Membership Director.

Regular physical activity is one of the best ways to improve your health. Check with your insurance company to find out if they offer reimbursement for your gym membership.
Joiner fees are a non-refundable, one-time charge as long as membership remains continuous. The joiner fee will be required if membership has lapsed for more than 30 days. Memberships are not transferable to other individuals and may be revoked for inappropriate behavior or by not abiding by the rules, regulations and policies of the Y.
Monthly payment is available through Automatic Funds Withdrawal (ACW). Your first monthly payment, which is prorated from the day you join, plus the joiner fee is required when joining.
Automatic withdrawals are made from checking or savings accounts on the 15th day of each month. If your membership payment is returned for insufficient funds (NSF), you will be charged a $20 NSF service fee.
Annual payment is also available. Initial payment or annual payment for membership may be made by cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.
For cancellations, we require a cancellation notice in writing. We unfortunately cannot process cancellation requests over the telephone. Cancellation requests will need to be received ten days prior to the end of the month in order to stop the draft for the following month.
Members are responsible for reviewing bank statements to verify their draft cancellation and notifying us within 30 days if draft has failed to terminate. Any disputes over three months old, will be at the discretion of the YMCA Membership Committee.
