Membership Rates

As a charitable organization with roots in Broome County since 1865, the YMCA of Broome County is open to all. We will not turn anyone away for an inability to pay. Annual Campaign contributions enable us to uphold that promise. If you are unable to meet the Y membership cost, please consider applying for financial assistance. There are no contracts to sign. If at any point you decide your YMCA membership just isn’t working out, you may cancel at any time. 30-day money back guarantee, if you cancel within 30 days, we will refund your membership

$75/YEAR, Youth members are ages 0-13 years old.

High School
$13/MONTH, High School members must have a student ID, ages 14-17 years old


$46/MONTH, An Individual membership is defined as a membership for one person 18 years of age or older.

$70/MONTH, A family membership is defined as a membership for two adults and all dependents living at the same address.

Additional use of the YMCA will require a membership or the purchase of a day pass. All guests must sign a waiver form and provide a picture ID.

Guests under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult member who is 18 years of age or older unless prior arrangements are made with the Membership Director.

Insurance Discounts

The Y takes part in the SilverSneakers® ( and Silver & Fit programs.

Regular physical activity is one of the best ways to improve your health. Check with your insurance company to find out if they offer reimbursement for your gym membership.

Nationwide Membership

Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the United States through membership at your
“home” YMCA (your home location is the facility that enrolled you as a member and that collects your membership
We offer this because we want to help you reach your health and wellness goals wherever you live, work or travel.
This is an essential part of our cause of strengthening communities.

What You Need to Know

  • Valid for active, full facility YMCA members
  • Nationwide member visitors must use their home Y at least 50% of the time
  • Program-only participants and special memberships are not eligible for Nationwide Membership

Joiner Fee

Joiner fees are a non-refundable, one-time charge as long as membership remains continuous. The joiner fee will be required if membership has lapsed for more than 30 days. Memberships are not transferable to other individuals and may be revoked for inappropriate behavior or by not abiding by the rules, regulations and policies of the Y.

Payment Options

Monthly payment is available through Automatic Funds Withdrawal (ACW). Your first monthly payment, which is prorated from the day you join, plus the joiner fee is required when joining.

Automatic withdrawals are made from checking or savings accounts on the 15th day of each month. If your membership payment is returned for insufficient funds (NSF), you will be charged a $20 NSF service fee.

Annual payment is also available. Initial payment or annual payment for membership may be made by cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.
